Pretty much all of Sink is my favourite moment on Daisy. But the lyrics are pretty bad for Lacey's standards.

Didn't the guitarist write some of the lyrics on Daisy?

Yeah about half the songs or something. Pretty sure it says on Wikipedia which ones he wrote and which ones Lacey wrote.

"All the candles on the cake, all set fire to the gate."

My point.

pretty much all the lyrics on the bridge are good, also "it's taking me this long to learn, that every dead is ate by worms and once they're gone they don't return" always gets me

Yeah the bridge has good lyrics, especially "I see God in birds and Satan in long words", that's a great one. But the verses and chorus just have nothing on the kind of lyrics that Lacey was writing in Deja and TDAGARIM.

"I see God in birds and Satan in long words"

I get the 'Satan in long words' part, but I don't quite get the 'God in birds' part.

Thank you, CK, for that thought-inspiring and moving sentiment. I will forever hold this contribution in the highest regard.

And @ Ecnalzen, I get the opposite. The God in birds part is pretty simple the way I see it, Lacey's just saying that the simple beauty of nature reminds him of God or something along those lines. I don't get the Satan in long words part though, can you explain?

"I always saw it as, seeing things you don't understand to be bad"

That actually makes sense. Good work guys, we now understand a small portion of Lacey's brain.
