know whats one of my fav moments on this album, 3:30 into "she painted fire pt 3" when all the instruments cut out and theres a little bass fill, and then a little percussion thing, and then that tremolo riff comes in. so cool

IS NO ONE GOING TO AGREE WITH ME????

@Necro: Yeah, don't get me wrong, I get a kick out of analyzing now and again, but well, we all like and dislike different things.

@Clim: Yeah, can't believe I forgot about that part. My favorite moment from the album is when the opener goes into the

slow doomy acoustic part for the very first time. So many goosebumps

I like the octave changes they do now and again on here for instance. At least, I believe they're octave changes.

Nah, it wouldn't be fair to 5 this without giving The Mantle another listen. That'll help me decide.

I've listened to this album probably anywhere from 50-100 times now and I've never noticed any of the out of tune/missed notes/sloppy play people gripe about. Well I probably have a couple times, but it never bugs me in the slightest. Also agree with Nero about the acoustic/clean passage halfway through Embers giving goosebumps, it still does every time I hear it.

The slightly off mistakes in the album add to the overall charm. That along with the production gives it more of a live performance feel that somehow works in their favor to add to the atmosphere.

I've seen them twice, but I'm still disappointed I can't see them again though because they aren't coming to California on their US tour for some reason lol
