my brother saw opeth live and i can't even remember what he said about them so i don't believe they even play shows
would have booked to see tool last round if 1) i was US and 2) they weren't cancelled, but that's only because they have better taste in opening bands than they do in their own music

Ei Baseline, so you think they will make another album? Since this one hits me is like a genius smooth retrospective from their already genius work (I have to say this to counterpoint the hate thread) , I would like they try something new out, what do you say? Will it happen?

I find it weird how the drums in the second half of the title track are completely different. The toms sound like arse. Still a banger of a song tho.

@DDD: This is definitely their last album. 1) They found their inner peace. Two or three band members don't even live in LA anymore - it would be too much of a hassle to gather in the studio again; 2) They achieved the goal of being the greatest band of the generation.
@ omg Johnny you're an Europoor too? Welcome to the club : (
Most people in Europe I've noticed don't really get Tool because they are very American and their superiority makes our faux-culture feel almost cave-like. However, here in Spain we respect The United States faaar more than we respect France, Germany, UK etc. American culture is the greatest in the world because it reflects the human soul better.

"that's only because they have better taste in opening bands than they do in their own music"
I've seen em twice. Once was a festival so the opener comment isn't relevant, but the second time they had Killing Joke open for them and it was one of the worst live experiences of my life. Sounded like absolute dog shit and the bass drum was cranked up absurdly loud. Shook you to your core with every thump

"Why they collaborated with him after the disastrously production of 10,000 Days only they know."
They should go back to Bottrill.

Such a boomer thing to say. "I want to be entertained without making an effort."

I am pretty sure I've put in enough effort already. At least half of the posts here were made by me. Probably.
