yeah I switched majors too, the dept. I wanted a degree from told me they weren't letting me in the program after I had already signed up for classes so I was basically forced to do something else. all worked out tho.

it's not an easy decision. how is anyone really supposed to know what they want to do with the rest of their life??? I haven't used my degree yet, I would like to someday. don't get me wrong, I have a good steady job that pays the bills but shit I'm 28 and I still don't know exactly what I want to do.
people who know what they want to do or have a "calling" or whatever usually don't realize how lucky they are, just to have that initial direction and passion already clear for them.
