Okay. I'm just listening for the first time and it isn't really doing anything for me. Trying to figure out why it's so liked because it feels like I'm missing something.

Fair play but what you have to do is ‘really’ listen to it. Don’t type, log off. Absorb it. Listen to it.

It's kind of a grower imo. I mean, it's very melodic and easy listening at first, but there are a lot of details and nuances to absorb that make it a worthwhile listen even the 100th time.

"there are a lot of details and nuances to absorb that make it a worthwhile listen even the 100th time."

I kind of get that feeling from this, even upon first listen.

I think the best I can do right now as far as being objective is a 3.5. I'll give it more listens in the future and if it ends up being a grower, I'll let my rating grow as well.

Edit: And yes, I'll give this a listen next time without my face in the computer the whole time.

It's not overhyped at all. Best album of all time. But I can't stress enough that the magic of this record really takes its time to reveal itself.

It's not an album that knocks you off your feet, ever... Instead, it sinks in, piece by piece, until it's become a part of you without you even knowing. Kid A and In Rainbows punch you in the face with emotion, but the subtler story of this album stays with you forever.

Agreed Ocean, my favorite album too. Kid A sinks in too tho, the ultimate grower album.

Ford you gotta point.

I got into this album long before I saw any hype around it on forums or from friends. I stumbled upon this album while going though a "greatest albums of the 90s", so I went in with no expectations.

Now I think this is one of the greatest albums ever made.

It's one of the greatest albums all time for its amazing consistency. Like I can't think of an album that is as solid front to back, though I do know albums with higher highs
