'Appetite for Destruction' is a classic record that is an entry into hard rock and even metal for a lot of kids out there. This album is packed full of classic songs; it's basically a greatest hits album. Anyway, the facts are right up front... Memorable riffs on every song, catchy lyrics, great melodies, superb vocals, fantastic guitar leads, great drums, and under-appreciated bass playing. It's one of the greatest debut albums of all time, but unfortunately the band never reached these heights again.
Even though many of the album's songs have been overplayed on the radio, it does not diminish their qualities. No too long, not short - 0 filler, solid through and through.
'Appetite' remains a quintessential 80s album.
