Still hoping they drop them as some sort of expanded release, would be cool
Might shatter my image of this being perfect but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for more songs from this
Are they just better executed demos, or completely separate songs? If separate, are they just as heavy?

I wouldnt say “heavier”, more like noisier and a little more erratic. Idk my feelings haven’t changed, they’re cool to have for sure but I wouldn’t take any of them over the actual songs personally.
Broadcast and Corpse Flower are both very good and I would be shocked if they didn’t wind up on a Smidley record if Conor does another. I would bet that Loving the Sun will probably see the light of day in some form too.

Honestly if anything I think I like this record even more now than I ever did. It has just not fallen off even a little bit.
And yeah I agree with there not really being any lows sowing… just songs I don’t love as much. Secret History, Hell 99, Greyhound, Cleaning, Barking, Looks Like Nothing, Gratitude, and Hall of Frozen Heads are all flat out just some of the best songs they’ve ever made. And that’s like half the fucking record

ehhh fuck it goat band goat album I’ll say it with my chest
I was honestly real hesitant to start throwing that around when it came out but nothing hits like this record, not even Nearer My God… which was previously my “how tf are they gonna possibly top this??” record. Idk. I don’t fucking doubt these guys, bring on LP6

oh dude I’m genuinely so sorry.
Yeah… Barking and Cleaning hit me hard as fuck and I say that as someone that hasn’t lost a dog in like, fifteen years. But seeing her grow older… hug your furry friends extra hard guys.

Have to admit, didn't know what to expect from this band going in. Album started off pretty quiet so I turned it up a bit. 2 Seconds later I nearly jumped out of my chair lol.
Its an ok album but doesn't do much for me. Losses its punch after the first few tracks.

I really don’t think I’ve ever related to a song more lyrically. Just the sound of absolute defeat and resentment, it’s comforting in a very weird way

Absolutely
That song shook me to my core on first listen. I couldn't believe what was happening.

is this desire?
in this design?
Really debating on dropping way too much money to see these boys open for TBS and Coheed. My gf likes TBS but we both fucking hate Coheed… goddamn I just wish these guys could open for better bands

I am hyped for the foxing/tbs/coheed show.
TBS was a fave of mine back in the day.. they suck live now lol but still fun. Coheed is a new hot band for me, their latest album was elite. Foxing has been a fave for years obvi.

Maybe I’ll just try to get into Coheed again. I don’t mind TBS but they were never really my jam

I think their latest album Vaxis III is a banger and very accessible.

Vaxis II was my favorite of the new ones, but I've always enjoyed Coheed (and TBS too). That said, I'd rather go to a show where Foxing is the premier act. In fact, I wouldn't be upset if they just played this album in its entirety. It's already one of my all time favorites. I'll never forget the chill that went up my spine listening to Secret History for the first time, leading into Hell 99 (this was a promo, so nobody else heard it yet). I think I just sat in my car shell shocked for 15 minutes because I just couldn't believe how heavy and unhinged it was.
