yeah i'm very very interested to see if this gets a response.
feel like kendrick hit the sweet spot where he met everyone's expectations and really hit him hard but left just enough room for drake to respond.
pushups was impressive partially because of all the other people he threw bars at on top of kendrick. taylor freestyle though? the idea of it is kinda funny but it aged like milk, especially with drake taking it down.
kendrick def has the upper hand but its certainly not over if drake doesn't want it to be

“People accusing Kendrick of being racist, homophobic, etc., he is clear with his lyricism that he is making fun of Drake's insecurities with those are of identity, not those areas of identity themself.”
White liberals wanna police hip hop lyrics like that isn’t also inherently racist too. They’ll cry all day about Young Thug’s lyrics being used against him in court but not see the irony of them then cherry picking “problematic lines” in a diss track with no context to complain about.

ultimately i think this ends with drake dropping a "7 minute drill" quality track where he tries and kinda fails to really push back on kendrick's track and it all just fizzles out from there.
unless drake drops a bomb nobody sees coming i don't even feel like kendrick needs to make another track really. "euphoria" is exactly what everyone wanted + "like that" is arguably the biggest rap song of the year so far. nothing more for him to do really

Yeah, it's absurd the lengths people are going to not give Kendrick this very obvious dub. He said fuck off in so many words idk why people are acting like it's not eloquent enough. He acknowledges drake is beneath him, he doesn't respect him, end of. I know people are expecting more of a back and forth but I really don't think it'll happen.

Kendrick's diss is great just not great enough for me to prematurely give him the W in this whole thing yet. Bring me more beef this shit isn't over in the slightest.

I mean they love actual police too so why are we surprised at this foolishness. Defund was just a fad for way too many fucking people

I really don't like Drake, but I will give him his props for Push-Ups. That being said, Kendrick is up right now. I don't think this is over yet though. We're definitely gonna get another round

drake is always beefing with someone... any press is good press it keeps him in the headlines
i have a conspiracy that some beefs are arranged between the parties to keep relevancy and press before an album drop

But do drake and Kendrick really need that? I’m not saying that doesn’t happen but drake is probably the most popular musician on the fucking planet aside from Taylor, and Kendrick can’t be that far behind.

Yo, what's up? It's Dre
Remember the first time you came out to the house?
You said you wanted a spot like mine
But remember, anybody can get it
The hard part is keepin' it, motherfucker

"i have a conspiracy that some beefs are arranged between the parties to keep relevancy and press before an album drop"
there are certainly rappers who try and start beefs for the attention but there has absolutely positively never been a pro wrestling style "fixed rap beef". especially involving drake lmao.

And if drake is making beef he's really bad at it. I expect drake to look at beef as playing the game and Kendrick doesn't really mess with that.

Drake is gonna say the n word 1000 times in his response to this
|
| |
as he should
|

man would post it as a donda chant cover if he had any balls

gatekeeping language is lame, especially when the person has ethnic ties to the etymology of the word.
|

it’s really as simple as that
|
| |
is it really though
|

yes

it’s like the concert fiasco all over again except arguably less agreeable
