take out Sim Swarm, and i feel the whole backend of the album (including tracks i enjoy like Love Love Love and Blue Lightning) is majorly contingent on the run of styles the band take almost wilfully half-baked stabs at being catnip to whoever's listening. proper shit against the wall but aww it's my shit material
and, well, the acclaim speaks for itself on that front
that tracklist is a solid 3.9. kick No Reason for Blurred View and we're cooking

objectively: Promise is a Pendulum is in the middle of that run....fucking incredible song, don't do it dirty. Don't even for one second.

Wild to me that people can simultaneously love Spud Infinity and hate Red Moon. Both are nice little farmhouse twangy tunes, except one has boing-ing noises throughout the whole thing and the other has the best line of the whole album THAT’S MAH GRANDMAW
