This is one of the few cases where I can't even rate it yet. I dig it but I feel like I didn't quite take it all in. Gotta jam again tomorrow and I'll be back with final verdict

Ya, I loved it almost right away but there’s definitely a few songs that grew to be my favorites. Crimson Stone particularly, I thought it was an underwhelming way to end the album but now it’s probably a top 5 converge track for me.

No word on when, but Jake said in a recent interview that they have the skeleton for a Bloodmoon: II done, but they need to finish it and are still in the process of doing that. They also have lots of regular Converge material demoed that they are working on.

hmm, but then this is better than Dusk, so I'm not really sure what I want them to do anymore. I will continue to be eternally optimistic for new material from either project (until further notice)

I hope whatever they do next is gonna ratchet up the speed and the dissonance again. They’ve been riding the crusty dbeat centric thing for like 4 or 5 albums now other than no heroes.

I like this more than Dusk too but I love both albums sooooo…
But yeah, I got a feeling we’ll see regular converge in the next year and then Bloodmoon II not long after

This is high key better than dusk, I’d say a solid half the tracks on dusk are just converge by the numbers. Sounds like rehashes of ideas they’ve had before

Dusk took a couple of risks. Thousands of Miles Between Us and Murk and Marrow are unlike anything they’ve ever done imo
Also the more by the numbers stuff were still executed brilliantly. Single Tear has one of the best moments in their discog at the 2 minute mark, that track, Arkhipov Calm, and I Can Tell You About Pain are all top tier imo
