Bloodlust, No Frame and In Motion are my top 3. No Frame sounds like it coulda been on DTGL so that's probably why l liked it.

No Frame feels way more like Disambiguation than DTGL to me. It’s reminiscent of Driftwood

The ending of No Frame has the best Spencer cleans of his career, honestly.

It Has To Start Somewhere got me optimistic I'd actually like this album

then the rest of it happened

also I think my favorite UO chorus is...either Paper Lung or I'm Content with Losing, actually. but I prefer their less structured stuff that still has melodic moments, like Moving for the Sake of Motion and Too Bright to See

Paper Lung has such a world-ending kinda vibe that sucks me in every time. The music video is really cool too

It’s not the complete and total trainwreck I expected after hearing Rapture, but it’s still far from being good in any sense.

relistening again today, "In Motion" actually could have been a good song if it wasn't for that unfortunate chorus. even the bridge is good

honestly the choruses on here ruin a lot of otherwise good to passable songs

no it's not a prerequisite for them to be corny

"Hold Your Breath" is one of the chorus sections i don't mind on here

that's cool if that is your thing, but for me they are the definition of cliche, overproduced & boring. even as far as that sound goes I feel like past "popcore" bands have already done this sound way better anyway.

would have been cool to see them try and sound more alt rock/metal like deftones or something instead. i think they could've pulled that off better, while still sounding more accessible.
