I still feel S/T was a bit off a mess, where as this album feels a lot more cohesive

Oh definitely. Two of the ukulele interludes are a bit filler, and there's like 2-3 tracks at the end that should've been b-sides, but otherwise it's an absolute step up from this. This has basically no great tracks whereas half the songs on s/t are like 4/5

I love the s/t and this, just in different ways.

s/t has amazing songs but some awful ones as well, which is compounded by the fact that they're completely unnecessary as the album would be already long enough without them

Agreed. Though I go back and forth between this and the S/T

If your main reason for liking all an album over another is because it's more cohesive then boy bye
