I only just downloaded their old albums. Only heard this one.

Their early stuff? Hate it. Not my style. A little too chaotic and screamy. Just personal opinion.

BUT then I listened to Acceptance Speech. I agree -- I'd love to hear that album with the production of Instant Gratification. Acceptance Speech feels very.....mid-heavy to me? The individual parts are not as punchy or distinct.

AS is a great album. There's like 4 songs I hate, but the rest I absolutely love, and that balances out to be about as good as IG in my opinion. Unique song structures and great ideas abound. Love the experimental nature.

I downloaded this record and I haven't listened to it yet, something's putting me off - I don't know whether its the continued criticism of the vocals, or the excessive saccharine in the choruses.
If I get it back from my phone tonight following a hard drive crash I may give it a go just because of how divisive it is.

Tillian was more tolerable on AS, probably because he wasn't so front as he is in this.

I think he's more tolerable here. I mean I love AS, but this vocals are super processed there. They sound much more natural here. It reminds me a lot of his work in Tides of Man.
