Me too although I'd like to stop doing that. At some point I just want to be 100% consistent, even if that's unrealistic. I'm trying to be much stricter with ratings, only the best albums within the course of the year should warrant a 4 or higher. At least that's how I'm approaching it. It's just mere happenstance that there should be a 5 this year.

There's 5's I hand out from time to time where I am just excited at the time but really it's a 4.5...but this has that same feeling I got with TDAG and The Seer where I was just like yes.

I use that philosophy when I read end-of-year and end-of-decade lists. The top five or top fifty most commonly mentioned ones are more or less those 5s, excluding the fact that there may be perfect albums that went totally undiscovered.

This album is so breathtaking. I hope I'm not overstating it, but this is possibly tied with TDAG as my favorite album ever. Maybe I'll feel differently in a few years, but right now it's that good.
