The word classic has lost its meaning, at least in hip hop right now.

"a classic album is timeless, era defining, and period changing. playable from track 1 on, and repeat. the order or tracks run smoothly. the style of album is copied from the on until the next genre defining classic. perfect examples: the chronic, illmatic, the blueprint...........these albums were traced for years to come"

i hope this albums legacy will be washing away all the turdy mainstream rappers down the toilet so we can live in peace on planet Tellus

I wish, people are so obssesed with bangers, i mean i love bangers, but not every single album and mixtape being the same ol' shit. Kendrick bringing some diversity to the mainstream at least.

Alright is a banger but its also good at the same time which seems to lack in the mainstream

the problem isn't 'not enough bangers' its how he pretentiously rambles on about simplistic topics in a verbose way while he acts like hes touching your soul dropping cliche lines about Mandela and MJ. It's him comparing himself with Pac simply cuz he's as famous - while he ignores that becoming famous in the early 90s and becoming famous now is drastically different and less impressive.

GKMC had a few as well, i love bangers, but not full albums and mixtapes of just bangers.

Is Kendrick Lamar still a little rough edged, youthful, and immature? Yes. Does that come across in his music? Oh yeah, his lyricism has never impressed me. Does this album impress me still musically? Yeah.
