since when was that a good excuse to defend music that you like

nah but seriously the way this album is mixed throws it somewhat to the front and makes it really hard to ignore imo

because cherry picked albums from 5's and 4.5's totally invalidate my opinion that the drums suck on the hunting party right

Tbh the drumming is indeed not good, but atleast an improvement compared to their older albums. Guitar was most disappointing for me, damn Brad Delson might be the worst guitarist in a band I know. The problem with this album was that they praised the instrumental works to heaven "Rob practiced 6 months for Guilty all the Same" while the drumparts aren't even that hard

Yeah fella:D

Besides the drumming in Keys to the kingdom, a line in the sand, mark the graves, rebellion and GATS is tasteful as shit and more complex, sure there are far better drummers but compared to his contemporaries his drumming work here is outstanding, debate me

I thought the overall instrumental work on here was fine. It's the production that's the weakest part on here.

Brad Delson might be the worst guitarist in a band I know.

Brad delson work has been simplistic, that happens with a big percent of nu metal, post grunge, alt rock and mainstream rock guitar players, still the guitar lines in a place for my head, the little things give you away, a line in the sand and mark the graves are legit. Besides the main focus of linkin park is not a extremely technical guitar work, if you want that there are tons of acts like satriani, emerson lake and palmer, nevermore, liquid tension experiment, pain of salvation and more
