When Annik Honore told Tony Wilson that she was terrified when she first listened to this album it would be fair to imagine it was The Eternal that made her think the worst was going to happen.

When I read that Talking Heads wrote “The Overload” to mimic the sound of Joy Division, “The Eternal” came to mind first.

Talking Heads looking to ‘mimic’ the sound says a lot.

This is the bleakest album of all time through reality of circumstance and truth.
