Eh, a lot of really lyrical stuff is drawn from the artist's life, and so it's hard to separate the two.

I do make a distinction somewhere between the artist and the music they create but I can't really elaborate beyond that

Guys her age would certainly bad mouth or make fun of their exes, I know plenty. No one gives them grief over that, whether or not they are particularly nice people. If they made jokes publicly, people would certainly encourage it because it's funny. Your ex was a bitch, great we've all been there.



Although to be fair, most people in general don't make a career off badmouthing/singing about their exes.

This reminds me of the time Obama "threw someone out" after bad they insulted him. He didn't actually "throw them out" someone else did. Some say that doing so is very dictator of him. Which is funny because if someone came to your house with your friends and family around, you'd have them leave or get punched without a second thought. Does that make you dictator-like?
