I know Powerslave usually gets the nod but this is much more consistently brilliant

@Koris Glad to hear that. It even made me to avoid whole band for too damn long, but now this album is the favourite of mine by them. Their 80s were so strong this site can't even form a consensus of their best 3.

but..

Back in the village

and The Duellists

and Losfer Words is destroyed by Transylvania and Genghis Kahn

Powerslave has massive highs but also filler grade material.

The only low on Powerslave is Back In the Village but the rest is great.

The only one off this album that I don't vibe with is Can I Play with Madness, but everything else ranges from great to amazing

no matter how many times i listen to this, Maiden were on a state of grace when they wrote/recorded this album. A pact with the devil is the only explanation, it's too good.

I wish they did the same kind of tour as they are doing now with SiT, but unfortunately I very much doubt it'll ever happen.

I never thought the SIT themed tour would happen either Dewi, but here we are. The biggest difference between the 2 albums though are that 5 of these songs have been in the setlists over the years. Unfortunately for SIT, that one only had Wasted Years and Heaven Can Wait and sparse at that.

I could see them doing something for this album in the future...
