Watershed was their worst album in a while and only had 3 of their metal sounding songs but they were still better than anything on Heritage, I'd be completely satisfied if they made a Watershed Pt. 2 if that meant just 2 or 3 more of their signature 8-12 minute epics

I'd love to see an album of all songs like Face of Melinda or even Harlequin Forest where the music is essentially classic Opeth but just no growling vocals. That'd be perfect, the growls were always the least appealing thing about the band anyway they don't need to change the music too

The growling seems pretty essential to me. It sounds dark and sinister, matching those parts of the music, which contrast the softer parts.

Mikael can't physically do it anymore, so at that point either get someone else to be a growler or just sing all the time instead, but don't ruin the sound of the whole band in the process
