"See you're missing the point (because you want to or because you're simply an idiot I don't know) because talking about the history is still talking about the album. I talk about this artist approaches his music, music that coincidentally features on this album! Besides, how could I be digressing if I open the review with that? Do you not know the meaning of the word?"

Uhh, no. Talk about the music and its impact it had on you. You did that after the first half of rambling on about the history. Pretty clear difference.

Why? Ha, really? You're wondering how opening up an album review with a discussion on something other than the album is a digression? On the contrary, do you know the meaning of the word?

"Except it isn't a digression as I've explained time and time again. You need to learn to actually read things. Again, I redirect you back to the little discussion we had in the meds thread where you were unable to grasp the point of just about anything"

Dev, look up the definition of the word. Hell, I'll give you Oxford's definition (since you use British grammar): "a temporary departure from the main subject in speech or writing." Are you actually going to sit here with a straight face and tell me that a discussion on artist-history (look, appropriate usage of a hyphen!), and not the album itself, on an album review isn't a deviation from the main topic? The main topic being the album. There are many things that are relatable, and as I've mentioned time and time again, discussing the exposition of such and such is not a bad thing, but either keep it short or fuse it with your own perspective. You didn't do that. The first half you spent detailing a narrative. If I gave my 9 year old cousin a Thesaurus, I'm sure he'd do just as good a job as you.

"I didn't write this for you, so I don't really care what you could do"

You wrote this for an audience, and I'm part of that audience.

"That god complex being in no way inflated by the amount of attention you're giving me of course..."

Well, if you have a God-complex, then I'm simply indulging you, since you're already inflated enough :P

"I generally dislike anyone who is an idiot. You'll note our previous discussion where I was more than amicable with you before you turned out to be a raving idiot"

I hope you don't ignore that there are two perspectives here. You can't honestly believe I regard you that highly. And yet, I'm not the one here bouncing off aspersion to aspersion. Which ultimately leads to your God-complex, where anyone who disagrees with you is an affliction from the netherworlds, and needs cleansing through your "immaculate" vocabulary.

"I didn't need to respond to the links, I've already explained everything and yet you continue to go on because YOU CAN'T SEEM TO GRASP THE POINT"

After all this time, I think I finally understand what you were trying to say. That said, I'm not sure if you're just incapable of understanding this or unable to, but phonetics is not a complete dictation on grammar. That was a really fucked up sentence. Dev, have you ever participated in an English class?

"Did you miss the point where a hyphen is so when it isn't separated from the body of text? I never said they were anything of the sort, you did"

What point are you trying to make here? There is no the "hyphen is so when..." Stop making excuses. There is nowhere in English grammar where the hyphen is used to separate any kind of clause. NOWHERE! There is no getting around this either, Dev.

"Actually no, that's a broken sentence because it comes in halfway through the narrative"

Doesn't matter if it came half way through. It can still be a standalone sentence. It needs context to make sense, yeah, but nonetheless, it is a sentence.

"Dude, seriously? You pointed out that it was connected to the "other sentence" and I agreed. Are you unable to remember what you wrote and what you're arguing now?"

Perfect example of taking my shit out of context. Dev, to quote you, "are you simply incapable of reading...?" I asked that rhetorical question out of confusion regarding your grammar fuckup, not what you're claiming I did it for. It had nothing to do with your issue of joining clauses.

"No that should have been "it's" which I corrected but okay, anything to save you from running on empty"

I'm just furthering my point that you're not infallible.

"Uh no dumbass, when i said that's why I did it I was referring to the correct grammar part of your post. Lol, nice wishful"

"correct grammar part"
That is some ridiculously good labeling there, Dev. Way to show me up.

Entire response based off your admission was geared around phonetics, to which you responded, "That's probably why I did then!"

Dev, I'm curious: Did you use a Thesaurus to write your review?

Here is the synopsis of how we got here:

BLUEOmni decided to not add a tracklist to the db; an addiction he refuses to admit he harbours. He realised his mistake and got mad with himself, like any addict would naturally do.

But instead of releasing his energy and putting it to worthwhile use (like adding tracklists: the perfect way to take out your frustrations and release tension) he decided to use his time to scrutinise Dev's Burial review, or as he preferred to entitle it: "nitpicking".

The result was a few spars between the duo in the classic Dev vs. the universe of stupidity format, and here we are now... reminiscing about it.
