In college we get so much fucking time off. Like 3 and a half or 4 months, I don't even know. I'm taking classes, working and recording right now, so it doesn't feel like the time void it usually does.

Yeah but most people do internships or get jobs or do research or take classes in college anyways, or at the least go on a vacation. imo if you're in college you shouldn't really have an opportunity for summer vacation to feel like a time void.
But I did prefer year-round (shorter summer but longer winter/spring/fall breaks) earlier

I've had 5 weeks off Uni, go back 29th. Little Winter break, but hardly Winter here in Australia. 22 degrees Celsius today. Which to you Americans is like 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
