because they ruuuuuuuuuushed the album and admitted that they had to be hasty when deciding the details. I still feel like if they'd had more time someone would've ended up slapping the guitar out of Kerry's hands for that atrocious solo.

Yeah that album was clearly rushed, it really lacked vision, in my opinion. Felt more like a hastily "typed out" response to internet critics than anything else.
