In general I don't think weak comeback albums tend to tarnish a band's legacy. If the album/s that made them great in the first place remain beloved then it doesn't really matter what they do after.

yeah this would be pretty hard to top I think. But its been 14 years since this came out so I'm sure they'd have a decent amount of material to pick from.
Also legacies are only tarnished when bands come back for the wrong reasons.
