Listen you disrespectful young whipper-snapper, the back of your knees are reserved for my walking cane... Mr. Fuji style.

Jim, maybe we can have the same year-end list!

Haha, maybe but I fear I'm too well rounded for you Davey. I think I'll actually have the most diverse list on sputnik tbh.

You've disappointed me & included a metal album, haven't you?

Davey, in a week or so I'll be a DJ on "The Metal Machine", the Metal show on my college radio
station between 11 PM and 3 AM Hahaha. My top albums right now all ranked 4.5 are...
Big Boi: Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty
United Nations: Nevermind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures
The National: High Violet
Deftones: Diamond Eyes
Circa Survive: Blue Sky Noise
Periphery: Periphery
Letlive: Fake History
Alcest: Ecailles De Lune
The Dillinger Escape Plan: Option Paralysis
Pretty diverse top 9 imo.

As long as they're "Metal" and not cussing I'm open ears, check out my last list I made to put in some
recs, maybe some of you guys from here will tune in on the web.

Heavy is all they need to be then, I plan on playing post-hardcore and stuff as well. Basically anything to extreme for normal radio.

Fairly diverse Jim. I've only listened to one of those (Circa, which is currently in my top 10 witha 4 rating). I do want to listen to Big Boi, The National & Deftones if I get the chance though.

I try to be as open as possible to new and different things. For you I'd definitely say check out
the National. Letlive is like Glassjaw on crack (post-hardcore), the Deftones are Nu-metalish but
have some lighter tracks including Sex-Tape which I think you'd enjoy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=f0pdwd0miqs), Big Boi's album is one of the best hip-hop albums I've ever heard, United Nations EP
is one of the most up-beat ferocious 20 mins I've ever sat through, Alcest is labeled Black Metal
but is decieving because I find the album to be quite an experience and more shoegaze then anything.
(probably the most unique album experience of mine this year), Dillinger is well being Dillinger and
I'm a complete sucker for Periphery's debut album which I love to death. My bro is a huge Anthony
Green fan and while I'm not a huge fan of past Circa albums Blue Sky Noise was great from front to
back. So yea, I'd say all 9 are pretty different but each bring something different, unique and
enjoyable to the table for em.

That Trash Talk song was all right, not a fan of the vocals, seem to laid back to me tbh like he could
have stepped it up another notch. Not enough emotion, seemed disingenuous.

Re: Circa, I was not a fan of their previous 2 LP's either, but I really liked the dynamics, variety & greater accessibility of 'Blue Sky Noise'.

Now I like Foals, and I thought Antidotes was great, but I'm having trouble getting into this. Is this something that I should listen to with complete focus?

Yes, most definitely. And don't compare it to their debut.
