this album has its (high) highs and lows, and I keep thinking back on it. There is so much power in the sound. My World, Split the Atom, Alpha Centauri, and many more favourites. It really feels like a coming classic.

This isn't strictly drum n' bass, it's 'mixed electronic genres' really. Four or five tunes are out and out drum n bass and then you have a whole mix of other styles.

what tracks here aren't exactly drum n bass? only one I can think of off the top of my head is Red Heat which strays into electro house territory, and i guess a couple of tracks on the first half could be drumstep rather than strictly drum n bass, but the album is absolutely a drum n bass album

Yeah, some of this seemed dub steppy to me. Machine Gun isn't drum n bass to my thinking for a start. The t/t doesn't seem like drum n bass to me either :/



My World and Thursday are what I consider 'pure' drum n bass here.



Some people will argue 'In Silico' Pendulum is drum n bass but that sounds like a big beat/drum n bass hybrid thing to me.



My feeling is this is a drum n bass hybrid a bit like how latter day Pendulum is a hybrid. I hate genre titles anyway, so I guess it's me.

Regardless of what its got, it's timelessly dope as hell and thats what counts. I just really wish they'da skipped the Foreign Beggars features.

"Shellshock" is one of my favourites on the album, though; quite the hard hitter.
