loved this album when it came out but not so sure about it now...every song is a bit corny in an unpleasant way, and while all of it sounds nice not every song has enough compelling elements to balance out the corn. honestly the two interlude-y bits "reign of love" and "chinese sleep chant" are probably my favorites and even those...

My experience with this has been the opposite of robertsona's. I liked this when it first came out, but now it has a timeless feel. Probably one of the best pop albums of the last 20 years, if not the best.

legit i remember 2009-2010 was such an awesome time for finding cool sounds/there was a lot of really changing sounds
i do legit think we're nearing some sort of singularity in society/social media/technology. idk lol

Such an amazing album. Am I crazy, or is Strawberry Swing perhaps the best song here?

Ooh finally someone else wants to obsess with me!
Strawberry Swing is very amazing but I'd personally still lean towards Lovers in Japan/Rein of Love or Yes, the closer is also phenomenal. I love blending the best of this with some of the Prospekt's March tracks; you can easily make a stone cold classic that way if this isn't one already.

“Strawberry Swing” is sublime, there’s something incredibly nostalgic about that one.
Basically the first three tracks here are “just” great and the rest is amazing.
