I don't think No Surprises would work very well if it wasn't a simple song, I can agree with that. It HAS to be a lullaby in order to be effective in what it's trying to portray.

I just mostly meant that the opinion he described was very unique and I sometimes think I might get it ... but don't

The guitar line on that track is beautiful.

Finally gunna see if this lives up to the unbelievably large amount of hype and praise it gets.

It might not at first, Zombie. It didn't for me. It took a full year before I realized how great it was, so don't go in expecting it to blow you away in an instant.

oh Paranoid Android is absolutely stunning, also really dug Subterranean Homesick Alien and the robot voice on Fitter Happier was a really cool unsettling interlude

I remember they had those beeps before Paranoid Android on the single but hearing them blended in at the end of Airbag the first time - you knew this thing was the business

The thing that blew me away first couple of spins was the ‘mini-suite’ nature of the first five songs - they ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ blended together

The real kick in the bollocks for me came with ‘that bit’ in Exit Music. I’d never heard anything like it and haven’t really since tbh.

Exit Music and Let Down are what bring this to a level above all else.

Exit Music is their most perfect song - not my favourite but their most perfect.

Anyone who critiques that one...you finished in Doof’s eyes

Exit Music and Let Down are both their most perfect...but for me Let Down slightly edges out Exit Music. It’s been my favorite song ever since I first heard it, still can’t think of anything to top it.
