honestly fuck the law, but that line of thinking "innocent until proven guilty" is crucially important in a society, especially a technologically advanced one, and is sadly fading into obscurity in today's society. It must feel empowering to accuse others of things you have little to no actual knowledge about, which is why I figure a lot of people do it, but I feel very grateful and lucky that cancel culture hasn't arrived in my country yet and hopefully never will. that shit's all fun and games until somebody makes something up about you and ruins your life in the process
