'except for the two known tracks'
You know I tend to feel 'Be Quiet and Drive' is the song there that's suffered the most from what followed because they've definitely released a tonne of similar tunes to that one since, some of which are arguably better.

Regardless of how I end up feeling about this overall the closer is fr stunning and one of their best songs

Infinite Source and Cut Hands are both all-time great Deftones songs. There's some other really good tracks also, but those two are the very clear highlights to me.

I fucking adore the closer, really my mind is a mountain and locked club are the worst here for me (and even they’re still fucking great), and it’s just all uphill from there
I gotta say on first listen the almost rapped verses on cut hands and ~metal dreams were a turn off but I fuck with em now

I'm sure that show was incredible.

milk of the madonna is too catchy and to-the-point for a modern deftones album
locked club is too uncatchy and roundabout for a non-gore deftones album

Yeah, the sudden oversight/backlash to Ohms is baffling. Like, can't the average Sputnik user just love both albums? Like, liking this one has negated the ability to like Ohms? Bizarre
I really liked ohms when it came out then cooled on it a bit. Relistened last week for the first time in probably a year and loved it again.
I still think Gore is great too just ftr.
