I just wanna see them live again but I’m not sure I’m prepared to spend $70 on a TBS and Coheed co headliner

I wasn’t planning on going originally because TBS has been garbage live for the last few years, but the new Coheed album has been one of my favorite releases of the year so now I get to see foxing as a tastey little bonus

They don’t disappoint! I forget, what were your fav tracks on this??
I feel like The Medic, Rory, and Nearer My God are the only guaranteed songs. I have no idea what they’ll play off this for that crowd

I’ve seen foxing (and Smidley) live several times but not since this dropped. Looks like Nothing and Gratitude were my faves off this, I actually love half the album… the other half is just not good haha.

I feel like there’s a decent chance they’ll probably play both, Gratitude put up numbers on Spotify, and good taste homie those are my faves too 🤜🤛

That would be incredible. I don’t think either of those were singles though so I feel like they may be long shots

Hell 99 is the only guarantee from this record imo, Greyhound was obv a single but I just don’t know if they’ll want to bust out an 8+ minute track as an opener. Both times I saw them open after DDTM they didn’t play Speak With the Dead and I think, despite being a single, it’s because it was so fucking long. I could easily see the same happening with an even longer track.

STL represent baby! I’m really hoping that maybe they’ll do some kind of late night show after their set, I know it probably won’t happen, but it’s the first night of the tour and a guy can dream right?

Gratitude is still insane but I've never got into the whole album. I'm quite sad about it honestly.

Gratitude is absolutely bonkers.... might be my favorite?

It’s absolutely my favorite. At this point I think it may be my favorite song of their’s period. I literally wanna get a tattoo of it. I was thinking “Give me snapping of the brain.” quoted and just let some artist go wild and do whatever they want to match that.
That song has had such a profound effect on me. SOTY 2024 for sure.

I'd have to give it a think as to what my overall favorite of theirs is....there's a lot of contenders.

What’s wild is that these guys were already one of my favorite bands and then they went and made a record that blew the rest of them out of the fucking water.

This really does blow everything else away, and they have another classic in their discog, which speaks to just how unprecedented this release is. I still remember getting straight up GOOSEBUMPS hearing Secret History into Hell 99 for the first time, from a promo long before Hell 99 was even released as a single. Greyhound is this album's "Jesus", Looks Like Nothing is just a spectacular fanfare of absolute anguish and shredding, Gratitude is just unreal in every way imaginable, Dead Internet is a stone cold ripper, and HOFH is stunning and emits such a sense of finality. And the best part is that I still adore the tracks other people see as lows here. For me there are no dips, just a breathtaking ebb and flow between full throttle hardcore emo-rock and slower, thoughtful embers.

if this album was more like the demos it probably would be a 5 for me tbh, not sure if it makes me appreciate the final product more or less. this loses some of the genuine chaos in the layers of sorta artificial distortion

I guess that's where I'm lucky that I never heard the demos 😂
Came into this hurricane of flying chainsaws totally blind and it was quite the experience.
