I can hardly sing in the car anymore without feeling weird. What happened to me??

Post-hardcore and screamo aren’t normally my thing. So I’m trying to figure out why the first minute of “Blood Moon” brought tears to my eyes. This thing is incredible and has unexpectedly moved me greatly.

Blood Moon really caught my attention the same way the first time i heard. This whole album is strangely uplifting and life affirming

Yea I mentioned it too, but it's really a banger. I played it in a car to my friends the other day, it kinda took us all back to 2000s for a bit haha, it was nice

I'm not as privy to the post hardcore/screamo genre either, but this is a great offering within it. I am struggling to see what sets this apart (4.4 avg is wow) from other releases in the genre, some perspective on that would be great. Really enjoying it regardless

To me its the overall cohesion and flow of this beast. Where a lot skramz albums are just pure chaos (which I also love), this album focuses more on expanding other influences and calming it down at times. Controlled chaos mixed with the warm atmosphere and overall emotion oozing from this thing is what separates it for me.

But as I said in my "release of the month" blurb, this thing is far beyond just a screamo album. It transcends that tag.

[2] It's not another skramz album, that's for sure. This album got its own thing going.

[3] hawks is based as hell

Also most screamo bands are just entirely incapable of making something like No Gospel. That song is fucking stunning

Like I admitted a page or three ago that Stage Four is my favorite screamo record. As much as I love Touche Amore, those guys cannot make a track like that

Non-Fiction is an absolutely amazing post-rock track and probably the closest thing I can think of

Thanks Hawks, I can dig that. It did strike me how melodic and, well, musical overall this thing is. Some of the proggier and post rock elements are appreciated too. Clairvoyant was much more immediate for me but I can definitely see this growing with more listens
