meh, i think it's just a me thing. sometimes he'll delve into some musical moments i'm not huge on and then others ("fleabag", "god save me, but don't drown me out") he'll wear his influences on his sleeve and sound like worship of some of my favorites, and he's not bad at that.
he strikes me more as the kind of artist i'd rather hear cover songs i love than write his own shit, but maybe that writing will come with time. plus his verse on "obey" was ace
