I find it strange that there are so many hard cuts between songs. "Time Will Die..." was such a seamless experience, transitioning the listener from one emotional moment to the next. But this one has so many weird hard cuts between songs. It definitely diminishes the power of the album as a coherent experience.

Spot on. Grievances was like that too. It’s why those albums flow so well and why this one feels like a disjointed batch of singles

For sure, but this one feels that way to me in comparison with their last 2 records. This ones also more “modern metalcore” feeling to me than anything they’ve done before and I just don’t like it nearly as much. It’s not BAD, there’s just less here for me to want to return to

Yeah I don't think you can argue there isn't a big difference in flow comparing this album to TWD. This album has some sweet moments and transitions but the second half can be a bit too jarring personally with its sequencing
