This is prog, but I wouldn't exactly call it complex. Like I said, a lot of people are misusing the term. There are lots of subgenres that use long songs. And don't even get me started on instrumentation. Technical death metal ain't prog. Fight me, bitches.

Child in Time isn't a prog song imo. And idk, Pink Floyd always were psychedelic imo, not very proggy. But I can hardly define what that even means tbh

Ofc man that's the thing, you were right, you can't generalize always, I mean i don't usually like the tropes of the style, when the super fast but boring guitar shred/drum with screams starts and goes on for 3 minutes im bored to kingdom come. But there are bands that change my perception of that ofc.
