Yea I agree but most of their tracks that have the most impact for me don’t have a chorus. I.e. most of LITSOS and DTGL.

my favourite UO chorus is - you guessed it! - Desperate Times

I do the same thing, bubs. If I'm making an alternate album tracklist I'm using stuff from the same sessions or close enough that it could conceivably have made the actual album. Otherwise... well you've just got anarchy otherwise

I don't get why Spencer doesn't do those strong cleans that he used to belt out on this

One of my favorite peak Underoath moments is :

I STARE AT THE WALL WATCHING MY TIME FLOAT AWAY

ITS ALL BEEN A BLUR AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE

yea i mean in the case of comp tracks and splits ill be more lax on that kind of stuff when its unclear which sessions the songs were from but in this case yea no way id put sunburnt and unsound here

desperate times has one banger of a chorus for sure. shoutout to dangerous business too for probably being their catchiest

Always thought Spencer put Aaron to shame when it came to cleans tbh.

desperate times is one of the best rowan

it's not my favorite song by them, but the chorus of 'a fault line, a fault of mine' is one of the best for me specially on the 2nd time through when the killer melodic riff kicks in to make it even more hype and interesting

Yeah A Fault Line is so fucking good, that chorus gets me more hype than almost anything

I'm not sure I still prefer Spencer's cleans after this album tbh cos there are some absolutely awful vocals here, but he slayed on Disambig

exactly how i feel about it yea. I think his vox being a touch out of key works on disambig better than it does here, and he does has his moments on here like the ending of no frame which i believe is his new highest note, but like nothing is jaw dropping here like the chorus of in completion

Man Im so salty we might not ever get an album with the heaviness of Disambiguation mixed with the epicness of DTGL.
