Literally the riff at 15 seconds of the first track is death metal as hell. No other genre works in pinch harmonics like that. Punk doesn't have all these alternating runs and low chugs. Or the riff at 14 seconds in Lost Cause.
I feel like you have a pretty narrow view of what good dm can be tbh. Just like everything. And it's grindcore, so most sections are going to be short.

Straight up grind is generally a lot more simplistic in the riffs department, more similar to hardcore. More powerchords, lest hammer ons, rapid alternating palm mutes, squeals and stuff like that. The influences are kind of a soup on this though. They do a lot of assorted heavy sounds.
