she could sing the phonebook and i'd be into it. i think her voice works no matter what she's doing.

The lyrics are very derivative Bridgers fare tbh but the instrumentation and vox rule

Its all about the instrumentation on that track for me, the vocal melody is underwhelming but it works. I like the song quite a bit despite the complaints.

I love both of the new tracks - Garden Song in particular is growing on me.

Garden Song was immediately one of my favourite PB tracks and still is. Me & My Dog is still number 1 but Garden Song just hits so hard for me.

Kyoto is probably in her top 3 or 4 tracks for me, it genuinely knocks my socks off and is def her best pop offering, I think of it as a more developed "Motion Sickness"
Glad some people are loving Garden Song but it hasn't fully clicked with me yet, the context of "Kyoto" definitely helped tho (:

Sorry but for me Kyoto's lyrics are nowhere near as good as Motion Sickness

Agreed but they're still very good. I think it does the pop thing a bit better

Yeah Kyoto's chorus is probably bigger
Man it's just the opening lines of Motion Sickness that are sooo iconic, thinking about it the song itself doesn't get any better after that haha

there's something crushing in kyoto i love about "I wanted to see the world, then I flew above the ocean, and I changed my mind"

They're very similar thematically too I think, Kyoto almost (almost, not actually) feels like a sequel

I wonder if Kyoto is going to be the only bop on the record like Motion Sickness was.

Anyone catch her performance of the closer from Punisher on Instagram? It's up on youtube now and it's a complete stunner
"Yeah, I guess the end is here..."

Fuck yes, I'm scared I'm not gonna like the album version as much as that recording. Legit 5/5 song for sure
