What are classifying as sputcore? This has less than 500 votes. By comparison The Mantle has over 2500. If sputcore is music that is generally praised on sputnikmusic.com then I have no idea what point is trying to be made.

If you haven't noticed, the number of votes per album has declined greatly over the years. How many of the users who rated Mantle are still active? Not many I can imagine. And I agree with what bowler says about sputcore. You can't deny it exists. Also, if you've been looking at the most-commented-on threads recently, you'll notice that sputcore actually comprises the majority.
