Thorns of Crimson Death > all [2]

Check the liveversion from their 'live legacy' album. Incredible! Different, rougher beast , but such an incredible interpretation from live drummer Tobbe Kjellgren.

...and also a nostalgic event as yours truly was present at the show were it was recorded as a 16 year old, completely blown into obliveon by musical greatness...

All these years without checking these guys I was hoping a more deathmetalesque vibe...like Necrophobic f.e. turns out its a very melodic BM kind of thing.

The guitar leads on A Land Forlon f.e. alone is really pushing me buttons - In the intro of the song and then along the "chorus"...yeah...really sweet

Years back there was always someone jumping at the opportunity to say how much they preferred The Somberlain or a band like Sacramentum

Depends if you're able to separate art from artist. A lot of amazing musicians are absolute lawn darts in real life.

Varg would be a prime example, but his music is just as shitty as he is. Change my mind.

"Change my mind." I like first few albums, I'm tired of trying to change others minds. Make your path...I'm sure its righteous.

The Somberlain is very close. But more refined songwriting and especially the uber creative drumming push this one even higher.

Even thou The Somberlain might be my all time favorite song by them...
