Actually I'm flexible on 2 all the way through 4. Damn this band was consistent.

1) Cities

2) Vital & Dark (both very close to Cities though, which just has the bonus of being their first really excellent album)

3) Lowborn

4) New Surrender

5) NFTP

6) Blueprints (still has some solid pop-punk songs on it)

I love that ranking Snake. The only difference between yours and mine is we switched Vital and New Surrender, but I was torn between the two anyway.

@Sowing

Vital is more enjoyable for me by just a bit. Vital is a 4.5 for me while cities is like a 4.3

That's because you guys are wrong and Dark is awesome...or better said, Dark is the way, if you know what I'm saying.

I mean any of my top 4 are acceptable #1's, but Cities is just so rich lyrically & musically sometimes I just don't get how anyone can put it anywhere besides the top

Also, how underrated is the song 'Armageddon'? If you answered very much, you and I will get along just fine.

Cities was unique in its time though, I remember it hitting shelves and everyone talking about how it was a different blend of electronics and rock.

I think as a whole Vital may be more unique regardless of time period, but Cities is still better just from a talent perspective. They've never showcased it better than on Unwinding Cable Car & Fin. I would have included Godspeed on that, but the truth is that Vital's Little Tyrants is a new and improved version of it.

I will make sure Jom hears of this and you get at least a week to think about what you've done. ; )

Seems like I deserve it. But I think as honest and emotional it might be due to lyrics and vocals, it's "only" decent on the melodical side.

Melodically? No way! It has the most gorgeous melody in their entire discography, are you serious!?!?

Instrumentally could be argued but the melody is top notch.

I'm glad you edited your original comment haha because I was willing to fight that to the death.

But I can see eye to eye with it being instrumentally subpar. My only problem with even that is Anberlin has never been instrumentally exceptional, and 'Fin' has the melodic and lyrical magnitude to deem the comparatively minor instrumental contributions totally acceptable.
