Couldn't think of a lamer way of coming out of retirement to make a followup to California than putting out a boring ass thrash metal album. I mean idk how you follow up an album as experimental and varied as this, but you sure as hell don't do it with a homogenous metal album

Yeah, Patton still sounds impressive in that vocal style especially considering his age, but damn, it’s a slog to get through. And yeah, it’s disappointing as fuck to go back to that style after albums like this and Disco Volante.

I could even get it if they switched styles for this, but those are tracks from the early days. They are insanely fast, and flawless old school punkthrash tracks, with a 52 year old better vocals than tons of kids in their 20's, not to mention the writing itself and Patton's twists that perverts thrash itself (and not to mention the top notch line up for it).



Lack of adaptability makes me puke, specially on this site.
