It might be a nostalgia play for me, but this dropped right when I was getting into real rock music, and it just hit me like fucking mack truck. Aside from the birth of my children, I have never been as instantly in love with anything as I was when I first heard this. Everybody says Nevermind was the seminal album of the generation, but I think this was the one. It has 3 of the most iconic songs in the history of rock music, at least 3-4 cult jams that everyone loves, and for me , the song Release, is the pinnacle of music. It will be my funeral song.
