I remember it was a digipack with an orange cd, looked fuckin sick. Still one of my all time favourite albums

Meteora was the first digipak CD I ever bought.... and the second CD I ever bought period, after this.

You remember the thicc ass booklet that came with the Meteora digipack? Man that is still one of the best overall cd packages I've ever seen
Worst thing ever was when you'd buy a cd and the insert was just a single sheet with the art on one side and some shit legalities on the other

ATS has a sick booklet too. I love those ones that make you engage to follow along with the lyrics instead of just printing them out on some basic photos of the band or whatever lol
Disambig by UO is another great booklet

LP generally had the best booklets

Yeah you pay like your hard earned $10 allowance only to be greeted with that, you always end up feeling cheated even if the album is good
I’m looking at you weezer

I have Disambig too, but I haven't cracked it open in years. I can't remember what was on it, but I do remember it's also a digipack

"you mean a digipack? I think at least a few had been released in those before that, tho it probably wasn't super popular pre-2000s"
Yeeeeees that's what those are called! lol
"You remember the thicc ass booklet that came with the Meteora digipack? Man that is still one of the best overall cd packages I've ever seen"
Hell yea. It was rad. They were ahead of their time for sure.

the Meteora digipack was indeed fantastic - i think there was even a DVD with some copies that had a doc of them working on the actual art

Digipacks rule and I would rather have them than standard jewel cases.

Yeah I think you're right. I think the album cover had more of a blueish tint on it if it had that extra disc.
I still remember in 2003 when I bought Meteora the day it came out from Best Buy. I got my mom to wait in the parking lot and I ran in and out lol

Fun fact: my online alias was originally conceived and inspired by the bass player Dave "Phoenix" Farrell
I wanted to be extra cool so I incorporated the "3" instead of an e for maximum effect. This was probably back in 2001!
