Didn't Green Day get added to the Rock and Roll hall of fame?

They deserve it honestly. Especially for this album.

"are so nuanced and original"
>implying they were trying to make them nuanced
>implying they were going for something unique (they were trying to say what was on a lot of people's minds, but in a way where people actually gave a shit)

"the whole intentionality argument is essentially like saying that a chef who intentionally dresses his sandwiches in cheese whiz is making good sandwiches"
Did you actually listen to the album in full? They're completely in your face about it the entirety of the album, it's not a subtle nudge. That's not a good analogy to use here at all.

"i listened to it in full back in yonder day how else could i write an A+ report"
So you're trusting your modern analysis on your last time listening to it in seventh grade?
Unless seventh grade was recent for you, I don't think it's a position that can be taken seriously considering you seem to be pretty misinformed about the album. (In no way, shape, or degree is anything on this album subtle, it's entirely in your face the whole way through)

Yet you haven't listened to it since seventh grade.

First off, how old are you now? Perceptions can change quite a bit over the years.

So I'm assuming it's been around four years since you've heard this if the last time you heard it was in 7th grade.
I think you should just give it another listen; I don't know how politically involved you are, but I think even though you're still pretty young you might have a bit more of an appreciation for it.

i can tell that both of you are pretty new users, aren't you?
plus, nimrod's their best anyways
|

Dookie, Kerplunk and Insomniac is my top 3. Then, probably a tie for this one and Nimrod.

Insomniac>Dookie>AI>Nimrod.
Rest are pretty patchy and hard to rank imo.

I just want to point out...
>GREEN TEXT DOESN'T WORK ON SPUTNIK, YOU PLONKER.
Also, I agree that this album is super important, but I don't think it's that amazing. Has some jams though. Letterbomb, Whatsername and Jesus of Suburbia are still great.
I also considered it an achievement that I taught myself this entire album by ear (it's like 6 chords).
