The most organic, pioneering, free spirited and original psychedelic album ever recorded. Absolute classic.
|
| |
"organic"
lol this record tastes of the studio through and through, though not to its discredit
"pioneering"
much as this is far superior, it doesn't really hold a candle to either of the first TVU albums in that regard let's be real
"free spirited"
no record with Paul McCartney's approach to songwriting can ever be free spirited
"original"
it was good of George Harrison to invent the sitar for this record yes
"Absolute classic"
Hmm okay
|
| |
crazy how stealing from indian music has led to some of the least boring rock albums of all time
maybe they should have kept doing it

Organic as in how the whole thing formed naturally from initial ideas
Pioneering as in how it set out to be different from what the Beatles had become and what it led to in terms of new ideas and influences.
Free Spirted as in they clearly didn’t give the first fuck in sticking to formula
Original as in there really wasn’t anything else like it at the time.
Classic as in its definitive of 20th century psychedelic pop and ultimately timeless
