Creatively, this is their best. Ambitiously, Physical Graffiti is their best. As far as a bonafide-hard rock record, Led Zeppelin 2 is their best. I personally think this or Led Zeppelin 2 is their best.

That's my exact opinion Led Zeppelin's best is either this one or LZII

The Rain Song, The Crunge, and No Quarter are all literally perfect.

Yeah, though I've sadly seen not a lot of people dig The Crunge, which I think is funky as hell.

People who don't dig the The Crunge tend to be the same people who are allergic to most comedy songs so It's pretty easy to disregard them at this point

And yeah Zeppelin really brings the funk on that track. I'd say "I wish Zeppelin made an album that was mostly funk because they could totally pull it off" but Presence was close enough so I'm satisfied in that area.

Also D'yer Mak'er gets a lot of hate and I'm quite sure it was also meant to be just an experiment. I read that the song was the result of a jam started by Bonzo in which he played a 50's Doo-Wop beat in a slightly different tempo or something like that.

D'yer Mak'er great yeah, I mean if any song is worth complaining about it's The Song Remains the Same since it's probably the most generic Zep track on here. Still not bad or anything though, just them playing it safe on an otherwise not safe album.

Interesting opinion, I get what you mean, but in my opinion the "weak" spot, if there's any, might be Over the Hills and Far Away.
