Sample packs only get you so far. Plus (and this is me being deeply, deeply cynical here) but how far do you expect someone to go when he's essentially just copying what he hears rather than trying to do his own thing? Do you think Knife Party, Porter Robinson and the like will really be around doing the exact same thing in a few years time? At least Excision and the Rottun crew actually started making heavy dubstep back in '07 -- I might not like 90% of their stuff but at least they were moderately innovative
