I'm willing to wager that I listen to this band more than most users on this site
That means nothing really
So that means this is great because you listen to this more than everyone else? Hmmmm, so if sit here and listen to Celtic Frost's Cold Lake all day, it will make it better than the rest of their discography? I love logic!!!

Riffs are good. You just have to hear them for way too long without suitable production. If you listened to the samples you've basically heard the whole album lol.

Well I really liked the samples so we gotta see. Just judging by the samples it sounded better than Belus already, but I gotta wait until I hear the whole album.

Could say the same of many Burzum songs

I like how he said this album is a mixture of Belus and something new. It sounds nothing like Belus and has nothing new in it. It's like Filosofem lite with weaker production, no layered guitars, and no ambient stuff (minus the closing track, which is probably the best thing on the album).

Lol. I guess. Fine line between atmospheric and repetitive sometimes haha. But we pretty much had this conversation already lol.

I'm two tracks in and it's sounding better than Belus to me already. The riffs are stronger and I feel his vocals have improved. Of course doesn't have the atmosphere of Hvis Lyset Tar Oss or Filosofem, but I still think it's sounding damn good. The clean vocals are pretty awesome too.

Yeah, I actually liked his clean vocals. But I think his screams are pretty average (thought the same about Belus though).

Eh I don't know they feel a little more emotional on this album. I guess they're not too different, but it just feels like he's improved on them a little bit. I mentioned on the news about the samples that it feels like early Borknagar mixed with early Satyricon and that's definitely the vibe I'm getting still.

I wish it did sound like early Borknagar; then I'd probably love it lol. Early Borknagar was much more dynamic to me though. And uses keys. And has better vocals. Never liked Satyricon anyway.

I feel like the production is very similar to The Olden Domain and his clean vocals sound very Garm-esque in the whole operatic and baritone type style. I'm really liking this album. Probably gonna end up being a 4. I love how this whole discussion is happening in an Agalloch thread haha.

I just like the fact we're having some actual discourse on music. Doesn't happen to often on this site lol.
