I’ve only heard Sonic Youth’s indie records like once and forgot about them. Kinda wanna listen to them again before I rate them. I really stop at Washing Machine and go back for my recreational SY listening. I should be a more complete fan lol

Lol, I kinda relate. Murray Street and (especially) Rather Ripped do little for me, though Sonic Nurse has some good jams. A Thousand Leaves has some dope deep cuts and one of the best 1/2 closing combos in their canon though, defs worth going back to that.
There's a handful of post-Dirty albums I still haven't heard, gonna have to clear them up soon
